N.A.Chibututu, LL.M (Lond,) MCIArb (UK)

The Managing Partner of the firm is N. A. Chibututu. She was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1975 after her course of study in Law at the University of Lagos. She obtained her LL.M degree from the University of London (London School of Economics and Political Science) in 1977. She joined Unipetrol (now OandO) Plc in 1979 and was general counsel and corporate secretary for twenty years.

Her areas of interest include corporate law, labour law, litigation, shipping, oil and gas, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets.

Ms. Chibututu, a director of several past and present corporate boards, is a former President of the International Women's Society. The Society is a charitable organization focusing on women and children.

Ignatius Chibututu

Mr. Chibututu is an attorney and counsellor at law, and is a graduate of the University of Lagos and Columbia University in the City of New York. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 1984 and the Bar of the United States Federal District Court in 1990. He worked for several years as an associate in a Wall Street firm. Mr. Chibututu also taught contracts law at Baruch college of the City University of New York. With his multinational law background, he provides dual representation for multinationals doing business in Nigeria and Nigerian based companies engaged in American and Caribbean business transactions.

He was the first Nigerian to be engaged by the Nigerian government to litigate on its behalf in the USA (which lawsuit was successfully defended. See Ford Wright etal v FGN 2002 Federal District court, Va).  He also successfully vacated a judgment of $190 million against the Central Bank of Nigeria in the United States Federal District Court in Maryland (Aeons v Central Bank of Nigeria). His areas of interest include governmental lobbying,  international corporate and commercial transactions, immigration, mergers and acquisitions law.

Anene Nwadukwe

Mr. Nwadukwe attended Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, South-East Nigeria where he obtained an LL.B Degree in 2003. He attended the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2005 as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

He is versed in corporate transactions traversing various sectors of the economy and has experience in Corporate & Commercial law, Energy & Solid Minerals, Banking, Environmental Law, Arbitration, International Trade and Intellectual Property law.

Christian Denton

Mr. Denton obtained his law degree from the University of Wolverhampton. He also has postgraduate degrees in Law from the University of London and Brunel University. His interests are in litigation, commercial transactions and immigration.
